In the heart of the stunningly beautiful Peneda-Gerês National Park, at Minho, upper north Portugal, considered one of the most amazing european national parks and created by mountaineers for mountaineers, Ermida Gerês Camping is your base camp for all mountain activities at the Park. Located in one of the portuguese last village communities, Ermida, the campsite also wishes to make known traditions and ancestral practices such as the cattle transhumance, (“vezeira), goats rotational grazing and water distribution for irrigation among inhabitants.
This is a rural wooded campsite with a familiar environment and very faitfhful users, which comprises two distinct areas one for caravans and autocaravans and one for tents.
Modern and functional bathrooms ensure a comfortable use also for disabled companions.

Wooden Mountain Shelters provide a comfortable night for 2, 3 or 4 people (possibility of lodging a 5th person). They are rustically equipped with 1 double bed and a bunk bed. They have a small chest of drawers, table and 4 benches, electricity and plugs. Heating in winter.
Huts are elegant wooden lodgements have a double mattress, small table and two stools. It was designed for a perfect use by 2 people, but the space is enough so that, if necessary, put one or two tripartite mattresses and guarantee the overnight stay of 4 people. They are also comfortably equipped with electricity and sockets. Heating in winter.
The colorful Bivouacs, which funny design is specially appreciated by children, are lightweight structures, small wooden huts, allowing 2 people to stay with all comfort and avoiding to bring tents.They have two mattresses and are equipped with electricity and sockets. Heating in winter.
