There is a permit to build a canteen/restaurant; sanitation; a swimming pool; 5 houses and a manager’s house. Furthermore, there is permission for 35 camping pitches, for regular tents or, for example, for more luxuriously equipped glamping tents.
There is an independent water supply; Electricity can be generated with solar energy, in combination with a generator, or via connection to the grid.
The site is located near the Ebro River, in the province of Ribera d’Ebre. Between the two small villages of La Serra d’Almos and Darmos. It is located on a paved, but quiet road. The site is therefore very easy to reach.
It is an area with ancient terraces, which run all the way down from the road to a kind of valley plateau and then up again on the other side to a top plateau.
There are olive trees and almond trees on the land.
The area, with beautiful views, is very rural, with many olive groves; vineyards; almond orchards and nowadays also cherry orchards.
The region and the areas nearby (e.g. Montsant, Priorat) are known for their delicious wines and attract many wine lovers.
You can enjoy walking there; mountain biking; horse riding; etc. There is also a lot of fishing in the Ebro.
But it is also wonderful to enjoy the peace and quiet at the campsite and hang out by the pool with a nice drink or ice cream.
The sea and the beach can be reached via beautiful routes in about 25 to 30 minutes.
Some larger and very beautiful places to visit in the area are Reus, Tarragona and Tortosa. The Ebro Delta with its rice fields, wide beaches and special bird populations are also worth a visit.
We bought the site years ago and had to change the destination from agricultural to tourist destination in order to obtain a permit. We understand that it is unique that we have yet received this permit and that it is the last permit to be issued. But unfortunately, for us, it took too long: 14 years. We are a bit older now and simply don’t have the energy to finish it anymore.
All the architect’s plans and permits can of course be viewed. The costs for realizing the plans are estimated at 350,000 euros. There are options for financing from the bank, but a 50% own contribution is a requirement.
We hope through this advertisement to find younger people who still have the enthusiasm and energy to realize this wonderful project in the beautiful Spanish countryside.
